Historians believe the link between humans and lapis lazuli stretches back more than 6,500 years. The gem was treasured by the ancient civilizations of Mesopotamia, Egypt, China, Greece, and Rome. They valued it for its vivid, exquisite color, and prized it as much as they prized other blue gems like sapphire and turquoise.

The best lapis lazuli typically comes from Badakshan, a province in present-day Afghanistan, is a forbidding wasteland of mountains, bare of any vegetation. Humans make their way there to seek one thing only: the azure treasure that is fine lapis lazuli. 

Precious stones are not the only treasures coveted by high-end jewelers. The red coral from the Mediterranean, distinct from its tropical counterparts found in warmer seas, is a highly sought-after resource.

The name coral comes from the Hebrew ‘Goral,’ meaning magical stone. The Greeks transformed it into Korallion, ‘I adorn,’ which became in Latin Corallium, still used to define red coral

I didn’t want this year to end with out thanking God for all the great things he brought to our lives in 2017, new doors that were open, the great opportunities and all the wonderful people that He put in our path.
2017 was a challenging year for us, with the loss of our home and workshop due to a fire; 2 weeks before Christmas in the end of 2016.So we started January 2017 with a big task at hand of building a new house, a new workshop and keeping up with our business. So how are we ending 2017? I share with you: For our pleasant surprise we are entering 2018 with a brand new house (jacuzzi included😊) new workshop, an outgrowth in our business, contract with new companies, and our numbers reported an increase in sales compared with previous years!How was this possible? With the help of God and you !
